Ari Lord recently finished a novel and is writing another one supported by the Canada and BC Councils for the Arts. Their fiction has been long-listed for the 2020 CBC Short Story Prize, 2022 Jacob Zilber Prize and nominated for the 2020 Sundress Press Best of Net Awards. Their fiction and creative non-fiction are published in Malahat Review, Ex-Puritan Literary, Plenitude Magazine, Foglifter Journal, Minola Review, and elsewhere. 

As a freelance Writer & Editor, Ari writes and edits reports and funding applications for nonprofits, journalistic and magazine articles, research and academic articles, and edits fiction and creative non-fiction. Their fiction is taught in Selkirk College’s Creative Writing course curriculum. Ari is a year-long Writer-in-Residence for a local arts organization, Civic, in Nelson, BC (unceded Sinixt territory) and they sit on the board of Plenitude Magazine.
